As some will know i recently had a blow out in France in the GS, faced with the dilemma there of not being able to get the maserati size within the weekend i had the car recovered to uk thinking it would be easy to get a new tyre ,

Finicky bugger that i am , i wont replace just the one i want a pair of the same (already Vredstein ultrac sessanta ) a brilliant tyre and served me well for 1100K miles so far , fronts still have atleast 5mm left on them whereas the rears have around 4 mm , after exhaustive net searching and phone calls this morning ive just come up with one tyre , apparently Vredstein are at present concentrating on their winter production and have the sessanta scheduled for a February production run ,

What do i do , surely putting just one tyre on will make them look all the same but give an uneven balanced feel /handling or swap allegiance to something alternative but as a pair , im quite happy in fact more than happy with Vredstein and want to continue with them

Question is do i buy cheap budget run arounds and rag them silly for 6 months or go for a decent tyre which i'll want to get my monies worth out of but end up with two different makes front and rear for sometime

Yeah 265/30/19 is the OEM size been thinking of going up to 285 which im told is perfectly acceptable and was even thinking of going up a profile to 35 , was hoping to go in to Vredsteins main centre in Northampton , and try a couple and see what they look like

But alas its not to be no bloody stock

No probs....they don't keep the Falkens, nor could they source them at the moment, will be in touch either way.
