Tyre Pressures

I realise the main topic is regarding the GT, but I have always been surprised that the door sticker of my 2008 QPV Sport GT S (which has 245/35/20 & 295/30/20) says 29psi for both - which always seemed rather low to me.

I run 32 all round (as per the sticker on my Strad) and it has worn the rear tyres completely evenly. PS4s all round.

No it is clean and it is horrible out. Tucked back up until Monday. But at least my pressures are correct!
Introducing some old school sportsmaserati thread drift, it’s nice to have a dirty car for a week or two as it’s one less excuse not to get out and drive. Mines spotless as well now, but enjoyed 2 and a half weeks of it being filthy and jumping in it at every opportunity :)

Lucky for me the other half loves painting. I might get dragged into sanding / prep, but then I’m out!

no offence but is that actual fact or opinion?
None taken , it's a valid question.

If you look at the label it says 'Recommended Pressures'. Which suggests to me that it's not a hard or fast setting, it's a 'r e c o m m e n d a t i o n' .

There's a wild variation in tyre pressure pumps and gauges too. So are you actually putting in 32psi? Is your tyre guage calibrated to a UKAS standards? I doubt it.

Are you measuring when the tyres are cold too? After a drive then pressure rises.

I suggest, and I mean suggest you have your own gauge, inflate the tyres to what your guage says is 32psi and go for a drive , if the feels good then it is. But try 33, 34 or even 30psi and see if you notice a difference. I used to do this on my Kawasakis, and the difference was light and day.

quite I have a compressor in my garage and always use that with the same guage. My handheld I keep in the car is spot on the same pressure
