I'm a bit of a weather nut, always have been since I got into surfing.

One of my dreams has always been to see a tornado and, today, it finally happened! I managed to get some pics and video, unfortunately I didn't get it in its full glory as I was on the motorway and it took me about 5 mins to turn off, park up and shoot. But at least I snapped enough prove I'm not telling porkies.

Still excited by it a few hours later, never ever thought I would see one.

They are surprisingly common...but small and not easy to capture due to their brevity in the UK.......good one Pat!

Great exciting news Pat , was on ship in the Med years ago and we had one about a mile high and 200yrds wide about a mile off , the captain immediately ordered a course change as we had loads of deck cargo, even at that distance away you could feel the mosture in the air , we were soaked without any rain , surprising the weight of water being sucked up a mile high and 200 yds wide , now that could certainly do a 10 000 ton ship some serious damage , exhilarating though
