Do they still come on the semi slick tyres? The one I saw last winter on a low loader with a caved in rear certainly had them on.

I wouldn't say they are semi slick, but they are an aggressive tyre that doesn't work that well if it's stone cold and you don't warm them up. Still pretty good in standing water etc. It's the P Zero Corsa, it's a great tyre but wears relatively fast and is quite expensive at Circa £1k a set to replace now. Many replace them with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport which are better all year round and cheaper but don't have the amazing turn in the Corsa has, it's a very sticky tyre that picks up gravel a lot and skips on full lock due to the Ackerman angle etc.

Anyway, was using corsas and the Michelin Winter Tyres, but currently trying out some goodyears which are pretty good so far.

There’s usually at least one in Copart every two weeks. Depressing really! Keeps residuals up I guess...

Thats also because as standard to get maximum noise you have to engage race mode which means no driver aids. Cold Tyres and race mode must do it! It's not an untamed beast at all, just need to avoid being stupid. It slides nicely if you are off the road and puts the power down well.

I think my wife concurs with that view.
I loved the fact that you could poodle around at 30mph with the Mc enjoying the best aural entertainment available for the money.

The QF needs race mode by all accounts to get the exhaust singing.

You can get a switchable exhaust add on for about £250 btw. Anyway, definitely have a go in one, although it doesn’t have the Trident on the front :)

There are now 3 Giulia Quads in our car park at work... I dropped the Ghibbles off the other week at the detailers and got a lift home in one of them

Now I love my Ghibli but the ride quality in the Quad knocks the socks off it. Its a h e l l of a machine the Quad.

My mate has just converted his with 2 hoselok valves from B&Q. Put them inline with the hose and closed them to stop vacuum. £7 fix all be it they are always open now unless he reaches under and opens. But who wants to close them anyway!

Nice, I did similar, the flaps are open all the time, I used a bolt and cable tie to plug the vacuum lines. No drone and sounds pretty good.

One thing i would say is changing the exhaust on these doesn't seem to make lots of difference to the sound, maybe just makes it louder.

As a 90 degree V6 with Turbos perhaps there is only so much you can do.

It's not like the 4.7 V8 which it seems you can tune like a musical instrument!

I went to the Balocco test track last year and there was an 8C hooning it around, god did that sound good!

Yes. An 8C was on his list but he waited too long and the prices sky rocketed. They are pretty awesome though. I agree the Giulia is not a 4.7.
