Trackday insurance, any reccomendations?

I'm keen for track insurance at Llandow and wondered if any of you have any recommendations?

I've used Moris in the past. Never had to claim though.

My car is insured with Mannings, track day insurance is covered as standard, although it has a £1500 excess applied to this.

It won't cover you at Llandow as it is not an officially recognized day. As Geoff says don't crash, come out with me mate and I'll show you the ropes and then take you out in yours.

Moris would cover me at Llandow as an Other Event. It was with a sizeable excess though. Then again maybe not that much against the value of the car at that time.

Track day excess is usually 1.5-2k or 10% value of car (whichever is greater) isn't it?
Certainly, when I was tracking the Elise that seemed to be the norm. My insurance company for the Elise (CCI) were a wee bit out of touch for the Maserati, but they were honest and upfront about it and told me that prior to quoting!

I have always found it to be priced at about 1% of the value of the car.
