Touch up paint - some advice please

I thought I would contact a Maserati main dealer for some Sebring Blue paint to address some stone chips prior to a potential future respray. It turns out that Maserati no longer do touch up sticks. I am sure that the members of this forum will have a solution for me - any ideas?

Try your local PGI Paint stockist...I had this on my first (s.blue), Holfords paint match from them was dire.

Thanks. I will see who that is for the Tunbridge Wells area. I did find what looked like a very comprehensive service from a US company called Automotive touch up, however not clear whether they can ship internationally. They have all the paint codes for thousands of different colours going back a number of years.

I think there is a place in Canterbury that will colour match any paint code.

I'll see if I can find their card.

I don`t know if it`s still on your motor, Billy, but originally the car will probably have had a Maserati factory sticker on the passenger door B post. That should have the paint code on it. You might also consider contacting your local Chips Away franchisee and see if he`ll knock you up a small amount.
Cheers

chipex will do a good match for you if you give them the paint code. I use them for both Marci and Fiona's boxster and quite happy with result althoug I no longer use their blending liquid which comes as part of the package because I found it removed too much paint - much prefer using a light polish to blend such as poor boys swirl remover.

Azzuro Argentina is a nightmare... My work sells paint and ICI, Glasurit and De Beer are all useless ...there is only 1 shade of each....

Only answer for me will be to send fuel flap off to ICI to let them formulate a match for it... Your local piant supplier should be able to do this too ..but... It will be waterbased so needs to be sprayed...

Thank you all for your responses and ideas. I am giving a company called Auto paint in Merseyside a go, they have the colour numbers and provide 40 ml touch up pots + all other bits that might be needed. They were very knowledgeable over the phone and had some good tips on how to get a good result. We shall see!
Highlander - thanks for the tip on Poorboys products I will take a look.

Paint code will be on underside of the bonnet on offside near the windscreen.
Even that doesn't guarantee a perfect match though as there could be several shades of the "same" paint.
