Nah...even the green one has too many bits stuck on it...
looks like someone has gone mad with the lego.
What are those strips on the front wings supposed to do?

That was the sports kit Enz, spoiler, deep chin spoiler etc, love it.

Those are two black snakes Enz.......................not a standard fitment on Irish BMWs....;)

At the time folk queried the effectiveness of the wing strakes on the CSL and they were said to be genuinely functional rather than cosmetic. The road-going CSL's were as much about homologation as image and sales, and if I remember rightly, CSL's were delivered with the batmobile kit in the boot for optional fitment as it was not to everyone's taste for road use, although it was a hugely successful exercise.

Never liked Alpina's, Shinitzers etc, drug dealer cars.

No Adam..Alpina's are a class above....A very fast understated car (most of the time)...Brilliantly engineered and built and models in their own right. They are for the more individual owner. Plus have you tried their wine..Amazing.....Remember BMW always give permission for Alpina to take one of their cars and make it into their own model....Plus they are sold at certain BMW dealers....Great cars and some a better drive than some of the M cars....

All right Phil....This a great car that made a big difference at the time in motorsport and on the road.....

Sorry Adam, but the yellow peril doesn't do justice to a real CSL, and you missed the 850CSi off your list (preferably in black).

PH

Now the CSI was an underated car...The original 8 was a bit of a unloved car but the CSI was a M car without the badge..Not many about and well worth a drive....

Best car in this era Lancia delta hf turbo in Martini colours with White wheels, Fab car.

I'm biased though because I had one.

i didn't mind the E39 B10, thought that one was not bad, not a fan of the rest though and they are so expensive.

One car from that era that is great, I went out in one a few years back and could not believe how fast it was.

UR Quattro is the mutts nuts and that is definitely something different.

I reckon the RS2 should be on the list along with the RS4 (B5 1999-2002)
