TOAD TV: Lotus at wet Brands Hatch

As I mentioned in the good morning thread this morning, I ignored the extreme weather warnings and did a track day at Brands yesterday. My good friends at TOAD TV were there and put a little vid together.... its a bit slippy.

It was a real eye operner Andy, soooo slippy in the wet. But in the late afternoon a dry line appeared and the difference in speed was imense.
That was when the confidence grew faster than the grip level and around I went! Fortunately it was on the exit to Graham Hill bend (same as the very last bit of the film) and I managed to keep it on the black stuff, complete a 360 and motor on.

Is that a Factory Fit J Cloth in the LHS window frame...I use them to keep my MK1 Golf dry too.

WHats the first bend like Dan..Always looks fast and scary on TV.....

Imagine going over a humped back bridge on a bend and you're close. Just as you approach the apex the track just drops away making the whole car go light. It gives a real sensation of floating. Its a case of set it up and enjoy the ride.

Sounds brilliant Dan...One track I really must drive some day....

It was an MSV day Andy, it cost about £130 but one of the reps chatted to us during the day and said that they do a discounted rate for groups of ten or more, including reserving garages for the group.

So it could be an inexpensive alternative to Llandow at some point perhaps.

Now thats worth doing next year Dan...Def up for that....
