Symptoms Loz........real....or imagined.......;)....?

Thought the 4200s didn't have this problem....same item exactly as 3200s?

I have a replacement throttle pedal pot that I'm going to fit to mine once it's back. Didn't spend a fortune on it as I got it from Duncan. Of late mine has felt as though it has a 'flat spot' on the acceleration curve at around 2.5 to 3K revs, so basically where the throttle pedal spends most of it's time. I'm going to swap it over to see whether it makes any difference. If it does, I'll have a look inside the old one to see whether there are any signs of wear.

Some sellers are ok with arranging pick up through say parcelstogo.com. That way you know his much it realy costs. The throttle bodies used on the 4200 can develop a fault Loz. The driving motor can get lazy. However, this should be on high milage cars. Of course as you say it could be the throttle pot but should it through some errors?

Do any of you boys have a broken throttle pots I could do some work on? I have been doing some work on a contactless upgrade and I need as many samples as I can get get hold of !

Cheers

Hi Bill, As mentioned above, I have a replacement TP pot that I'm going to fit to mine (which has 68K miles on the clock, so your comments rings true) Happy to donate mine if the replacement proves to be an improvement. Regards, Miles.
