This is good news, but I bet the likes of Emblem wont be happy. The 7 year warranty will encourage used cars to stay with the main dealer and assume the indies will not be able to carry out warranty work.

It will also keep the used cars values high. The only down side I can see is that people will hang on to them for longer, and maybe stifle new Ferrari sales.

I don't think this is warranty I think it is a 7 year service package, surely if it was a warranty that's what they would have called it.I think it is a way of keeping them in the dealer network and retaining the second hand values, as Matt says it not good for the inde's

Ferrari introduced the 7 year free servicing plan in April, backdated a month or so.

When I ordered my GT, I asked if it was coming for Maserati. Apparently not!

Seems mad you can spend £8k on a Kia and get a 7 year warranty, £10k on a Vauxhal and get a lifetime warranty and £130k on a Maserati and get a 3 year warranty.

Its all about confiedence in your product and the fact that a Maserati will cost a fortune to repair against a Kia if it goes wrong...........They would get their money back somewhere if they did 7 year warrenty...Price rises etc...

The Maserati owners can afford to fix 'em....the Kia owners .....cannot.....;)....;)

Just to reiterate it is 'Ferrari Servicing on the new cars released from April'' not warranty, there will always be maint on top like brakes and tyres excluded and not heard about any Maserati plans going this way..
