The 4200 owners won't disapprove Rob........................but seeing as your head would be much bigger....it would better be the spyder version.......;)

Hahahaha, you might be right, but I can't find one at the right price, so I'll have to leave all the windows down in the 42

Keep looking....as a matter of fact I'd ask some one like Marios at Autoshield if he knows anyone about to sell....he has a lot of contacts.....

I might just do that, it would have to be a 2004 model I would suspect, as the earlier ones had issues, I have already discussed these with Marios. An SM member has one, but it is a 2005 and naturally he wants a good price for it, a bit too rich for my weekender budget.

I would like to know what these 'issues' really are with early 4200's.
I have never heard of any 'issues' more 'minor' improvements.
It just gives the wrong impression, that if you buy an early model it's going to be a lot of trouble, what trouble is that then?
I have never heard of any trouble that effects only the early models.
I have no plans to sell mine, but if I did, I hope the potential owner does not read this forum, or I would never be able to sell mine!
"What an early model, you don't want one of them!"
/rant over!

Hi Mike...wouldn't say the 2002s are less a car than the 2003 MYs onwards, but frequently its the ongoing tweaks which make it a better car.....not hugely better but better......esp if there was a deficiency in an annoying area such as scuttle shake.

Not giving trouble as such. Plus if sticking to decent roads and not racking up the miles a 2002 is as good as you get with a trident on it!

I think the issues referred to are specific to the earlier spyders; a lot more scuttle shake, a plastic back window and earlier ecu settings. The 04my spyders were a much better vehicle and that doesn't denigrate the earlier model coupes.
