Take care when posting links

When posting links, it might be worth taking a moment to check the link for any personal information, as this is sometimes stored in the link, not a cookie.

For example, if you have found an interesting car on Autotrader and just copy and paste the link, it will probably contain your postcode (and other junk), leading thieves to the location of your prized Bentley. If this doesn't bother you, then fine, but if it does, you can usually just edit the link to remove the postcode.

Also, while on the subject, if you just post a link, it will often not be persistent, so the car you link to on Autotrader (or many other dealer and auction sites) today will be invisible to someone coming along to the thread a couple of weeks later when it is sold. It seems to me that it would be really helpful to also post a quick screenshot, so that people can see what you were talking about.

The reg number in text (with no spaces) would also be really helpful for people searching the forum for a particular car.
