Maserati Khamsin Quuaranta.

2012 means forty years of the Khamsin and Marc Sonnery, a France-based motoring journalist, in conjunction with Eau Rouge Publishing, is celebrating this important milestone by organising an International Khamsin-only rally.

Marc Sonnery is the author behind the Khamsin website: www.maseratikhamsinregistry.com, which is a mine of information for owners and enthusiasts of the Bertone classic.

This weekend event will take place in France between Beaune and Dijon in the Burgundy region, a fantastic area to visit with vineyards, castles and some great roads. Marc's ambition is to get 40 cars for the fortieth anniversary and from as many countries as possible.

For Khamsin owners this will be the event of the year and certainly one to diary now!

For more information email Marc at contact@maseratikhamsinregistry.com or contact Eau Rouge Publishing at sales@eaurougepublishing.com

Hey Miles,

Just working out logistics etc, but I want to be part of it. Can't wait for the weather to lift so I can put some more miles on her and also lift confidence in doing such a road trip.

If it all comes together I will write up a report for all to enjoy.

Bal, if you haven't already, it might be worth contacting the Maserati CLub to see whether there are any other UK Khamsin's going. You can make a convoy of it then :D

Hope it works out and yes it would be great to read a full report afterwards if you do go.

Cheers, Em.

Yep Miles, trying to see if I can convoy with a couple of K's from Scotland at the moment. Those were the logistics I mentioned as there may be differing drivers in terms of departure dates etc.
I'll see how things pan out if that fails to come to fruition and see if anyone else from the club is going.

Fingers crossed as a convoy would be helpful to all just in case of issues.

Hi

I'm co-organiser of the event (from Eau Rouge Publishing) - I was going to post a notice in the events section a few weeks back, but as far as I know only Bal and Paul have a Khamsin on this forum? The rest of the UK owners have been contacted either though the club or via Bill McGrath, so we're hoping that we have caught everyone in the net!

It really will be a special event and we'd love to see anyone with a Khamsin from the forum there. We already have about a dozen firm bookings with about 20 on the 'I'm definitely going to come list' so we should see a large number of Khamsins - quite a sight in one place! Fabio Collina and Ermanno Cozza from the Maserati factory historical department are planning to be there too. I'll be driving down from the UK in my Khamsin #341 (once its nut and bolt restoration has hopefully been completed at Bill McGraths!) so if we can get a convoy going that will be even more enjoyable.

I'll be at the Llandow track day in March if anyone wants to chat about it then, or please feel free to contact me at sales@eaurougepublishing.com

Thanks, Doug

Thanks for checking into the thread Doug. Sounds like you're working hard to make this a very memorable event.

I wonder whether we can tempt Bal down to Llandow?........

Anyway, all the very best in pulling the whole thing together.

Miles,

I would love to come down to the track. But the current climate regards work not so good so my attention is towards that at the moment. Hence why I've been quiet on here recently.
If things change I may even take a little trip out that way while you guys are there just for a meet up.

Sorry to hear that Bal, would have been good to have you at Llandow. Hope things take a turn for the better work-wise. Unpredictable times at the moment.

Well I've signed up for the event Mles. Paid the money and now have to make sure the car is ok for it.

Paul with the other car in Glasgow can't mke it now so if I can I'll hook up with the southern contingent. Otherwise I will have to go it alone, but at least my friend John sould prove a good guide.

I'll keep you posted.
