DO you Know one colour I struggle with and that the navy/dark blue that Porsche put on the 911...Also a bit like the dark blue Maserati put on the 3200........

My neighbour has a 996 Carrera 4 drop top in the dark blue and you are right, it looks flat, frumpy and totally uninspired. Still a quick car but doesn't warrant a second glance apart from a "what the h..l did he get that colour for?" type of second glance!

Porsche's do not look good in Blue, Guards Red or Speed Yellow are the only colours i would consider.

Thats the one Benny..Think its midnight blue.....more like accountant blue..Why would you pick it..

Midnight Blue is a poor colour, the only blue i liked was Cobalt Blue.

Agree Dem.....Its very much the same as midnught blue...At least the Maserati one has a bit more metallic in it...but the one by me still looks dull on a cloudy day..

Dem, I think it was called Med Blue on the 3200 but no where near as nice as on the later cars...or was it Blue Maserati..............................Love Argento blue though.

Ironically enough, we went to see an Argento blue spyder because we thought it was a bit insipid in photographs and we wanted to discount it from our search. However, as soon as we saw it, we liked it and we bought it there and then. It does look quite classy with the tan interior. I do like the mediterranean blue on the 4200s but, IMO, can look a bit dark with a black interior.

Giallo Granturismo looks nice on the 4200, it is a bit different.
