Car is booked into get collected tomorrow for front end repair after my little bump.
Anyway it had an engine light on which I wanted doing before collection so my friend who has a local garage did it for me, looks bloody daunting to me but he's worked on lots of special cars in the past and he was happy to do it. His computer said it was Cam Sensor Bank 1 which is RH bank. On back order at Maserati so I called Eurospares and they had it in stock.
My friend removed what he had to and said it was a bigger job than he thought so we had to order some sealing rings for the inlet manifold, he also told me I should order the LH sensor and do that to save stripping it again but that was on back order too and Eurospares didn't have one so we had to risk it.
Anyway all back together now and no light so I'm a happy chappy.
Pictures if anyone is interested.5577655777557785577955780

I know someone who had a cam sensor replaced under warranty and the MD would have charged circa £1,400. Nice friend you have!
