The "clear coat" on the steering wheel has cracked in several places. I don't know if this "clear coat" is really that, or some other kind of coating? Has anyone dealt with this type of issue?
Thank you Bebs....hat looks just great, but my QP's steering wheel has the wood / leather combination steering wheel which matches with the rest of the interior.
They might be able to recover your steering wheel and retain the wood.
Just email Jack @ Royal steering wheels and ask for options, send a pic of your current one.
It's the clear "plastic" coating on the wooden portion of the steering wheel that is cracked, the leather portion is fine. I doubt there is any easy method of fixing it...unfortunately.

I'm also lookng for a place to refurb the wood part of mine as well. Its crazed in one place, and has a couple of chips out from rings (previous owner).
