What are the chances but I was out taking my football this morning but what pulls up behind me with a flash of lights.

Yes - another qpv gts in black with a light interior.

I was thinking how cool the car looked and then realised that that was what mine looked like - albeit without the light interior.

I think it was a 12 plate so must be one of the last.

Anyone on here?

That was me. Thought I saw some familiar tail lights up ahead, but was particularly excited when I caught up and saw the oval exhausts. As you say, what are the chances.... Great to see another on the road. Was a shame I had to come off at that junction.

I did wonder afterwards how many GT S cars there are in the UK. Does anyone know?

I’ve never seen another GT S on the road in the 4.5 years I’ve had mine. Not really surprising as I believe there were only about 60 sold here.

I was lucky enough to find another GT S in our little town one day and we had a very short convoy, really puts a smile on your face when that happens per chance. And yeah, great to see how cool it looks and sounds! I know of another in the area and heard/seen it pass once whilst having a pizza on a terrace in town. Never seen any of them again though, but I’m always on the lookout. There are 16 known ones on the forum, most of them in the UK.

I crossed paths with a Bianco Fuji car coming the other way near Chelsea Embankment about a year or so ago. Driver didn’t seem as excited as I was.

@Tallman - I know there must be a black car local to you, since I’ve watched the video that Crossley & Webb did on it countless times. For those that haven’t seen it:

Yes I visit Crossley & Webb whenever I’m in Cape Town, I had a look at that black one, very nice, a 2011 with low mileage. It’s passed hands a couple times since and I lost track of it. Gareth Crossley used to be salesman at Viglietti the official Ferrari/Maserati dealer and he specced quite a few of the GT S that were sold here. He also managed to get me an invite to Maranello and I got a factory tour - this was in 2012 when my car was built so I probably saw the engine sitting there as they were built in the Ferrari Factory. They have a nice site but not a lot of stock at the moment.

Where are you based Lugos?
I am in Wimbledon and keep meaning to go to south side hustle car meet on the common but it seems it always clashes with me taking my son to football.

Has anyone been? There was a Ferrari 250 there last week.

I have a preface lift 4.2 QPV Sport GTS Automatica which I think is even rarer as only 667 were built … obviously not as good as the later 4.7 cars but I like it.

Out of interest did the later QPV Sport GTS cars stick with the Bilstein suspension or did they go back to Skyhook?

Bilstein - at least on the Harrys Garage review

I’m just a couple of miles up the road from you then.

Have wandered down to it once (didn’t bring a car). Think there’s normally some interesting cars on show. I’m generally not particularly into my car meets though.

Yes - Bilstein. I think it suits the car really well, but have had complaints from rear passengers on long journeys along UK roads!

Me neither tbh but they had a series 1 106 rallye there and it was one of the first cars I really pinned for. I have also seen an Alfa sz - another car I really want
