Speedo stopped working

Hi, my speedo stopped working after winter storage, rev counter works fine what should check first, is there a cable to the gearbox? could there be the issue, or should I check the whole wiring?

If (I don't know for Maserati) it is cable driven from the gearbox then it usually frees up after a few drives - that used to happen on the Caterham after lack of use overwinter. A bit worrisome if you approached a static camera or van so I used to put a satnav set to big speedo dial setting on the windscreen (I was a softie Caterham user and had a windscreen). I assume that in normal use the speedo drive/cable gets lubricated by oil splashing up from the gearbox.

It has a transducer fitted to the gearbox that sends an electronic signal via the ECU to the speedo, there's no cable

So I just read the error codes and got P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction, as I know there is a Sensor at the ABS and one at the gearbox, which one could it be?
