Apologies if this has been done to death, but despite doing few miles, I had a slow puncture, that I forgot about, and then pulled over 5 miles from home wondering why the ride was so hard. The rear tyre was pretty hot and almost flat. A can of foam got me home and I will replace the rears as they were old and cracked, despite plenty of tread. Once bitten, twice shy though, and I would like the reassurance of a spare. Any advice, comments and suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks in advance, Richard.

We contemplated a space saver with our Spyder but realised the passenger (assuming you had one) would have to stay at the roadside guarding the punctured wheel as it would not fit in the car (and it was more important for us to have the boot space - especially for my shoes!!!)

There is no space for the full size punctured tyre on it's wheel. Pointless having a space saver spare wheel.

As I am with Locktons, I'd have the Gransport recovered to Marios at Autoshield for a repair (if viable) or replacement. I would not use the foam - it makes a gooey mess inside that needs to be cleaned off the wheel.

Other insurance policies will recover a car where there is no space saver spare. This is not unique to Locktons.

The tyre foam product must be in the boot otherwise it invalidates this service for a puncture.
