Is there any point in getting keys off eBay? I mean they won't work right?

Actually...will delete the red key off this thread........well if youve a damged outer casing......why not......or maybe able to programme a 2nd hand key for your car if lyou've ost one!

Would the key work manually to open the dorr and start the engine? I do have a key with broken casing....

No, each key is a unique cut, as is the remote operation, but you can reprogramme the brain for remote opening....either get a new key cut or not use the key part.
