It's been seen at giallo x2 , Shiltech and auto shield and never even been mentioned.
Am sure someone knowledgable would be able to confirm.
I have been offered a fair amount for it anyway so there is no issue.

Ok, I thought I heard or saw somewhere a post 2010 car had them done...

Yep. There are some 4.7s that have engine numbers that low (apparently) Don't forget there's only going to be a loose relationship between registration date and the date the engine was built (clearly, unless you first name is 'Doctor' and your second name is 'Who' engine build date is *unlikely* to be after registration) ;)

That's the number from the Maserati service bulletin. So I'd like to think so, but this *is* Maserati......

Are we saying that any car prior to that which hasn't had variations done you should walk away from ? As its a known issue shouldn't Maserati do this this for free as its an issue caused by them ?

I think it certainly has to be a consideration, Andy. Maserati absolutely won't do it. I think that horse has long gone, although I tend to agree.

As always great customer service from Maserati......I was talking to a work colleague and his son is a Maserati/Ferrari mechanic working for a major dealer and he said his son doesn't have a nice thing to say about the Ghibli....Mechanics view that is not styling and drive...He said they have been a pain in the **** since they have come out. Not sure why or what he means but asked him to get me specifics to share.

That wold be interesting to know for sure. It seems with so many of these things it depend on the dealer in question. Sadly people forget it can often depend on the customer as well ;)
