Snow foam lance blocking

When I got the Masser last year I also bought a snow foam lance, started off with a cheap karcher one ( I know spent a fortune on a car and trying to save £20 on a cheap lance) it was ok but no where near as effective as the videos of the proper lances showed. Anyway I then bought a PA lance and was very impressed with the foam thickness and dwell time. When I started reusing it recently after thw winter I noticed it was not giving anywhere near as good a foam thickness as before. So I changed the filter as shown in the video on the polished bliss web site ( where I bought the lance) but no improvement. Anyway to cut a long story short I found this 20 step quick guide http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=84349 and stripped it down as shown step 11 was really difficult as only had work bench as vice but finally got this piece of, checked all holes, no blockages . Then removed the plastic tube that goes in the bottle and decided to try to clear hole where it enters the base of the lance where the tube fits. started with a piece of 5 amp fuse wire, just got it through, then 15amp wire, got this through, noticed some green debris coming up into the main section, so used a 30 amp wire and finally got it through along with a big piece of green gunk. Reassembled the lance, didn't bother with threadlock just some ptfe tape here. Tried it out and it is back to its thick foam self. Hope it helps if you are having similar trouble.

Cheers

Out of interest was the green gunk mould because it had water sitting in it for a long time?

You are best to flush these out with clean water after every use, that should keep them in tip top order..!!
