Serious fluid leak in GS front shock

Morning all

My car is in for an mot and it's failed due to discovery of a leak in a shock.

Anyone know of any floating around or if these can be refurbed?

I've been quoted 2500 for replacement of the 2 fronts. Ouch!

There's been some confusion here. I spoke to David on Wednesday:
He does not *yet* refurb 4200 skyhook shocks (I'm guessing these are the same for the GS). He's getting the gear he needs in the next '2-3 weeks'. He's told me the rear shock refurb for my 02 4200 will be about £160 per side, but not confirmed yet.

No idea if he has any used shocks for the GS. I know he has no rears for an 02 4200.

That's quite dear, they're £750 each new and around 2 hours labour to do as far as I'm aware.

If that's pre-vat and 4 hours labour in total then it's pretty much spot on main dealer wise.

A number of ADG adverts have mentioned wishbone bushes being replaced on GranTurimos'. Is that easy to do?

Not sure on the Granturismo I'm afraid.

I presume that the wishbones/dampers/springs are the same as on the QP5?

Part of my question is that main dealers will sell you a new wishbone but ADG clearly have someone who can replace the bushes.

Looks like I'm going to have to go the whole hog and replace both front at the dealer.
