These were listed on a recent service history for this Maserati GT that is being auctioned by Sytner but I can't find anything current about them. Given that PK seem to be backing away from servicing, these may be the only independents for those of us in the far north. Does anyone know of them?

It seems they specialise in everything but Maserati. Are PK not servicing cars any longer? Just storage and sales?

PK are still servicing.

Will be interesting to see what happens as various messages over the last few months have been confusing. We do need independent servicing for Masers up here and preferably more accessible for most of the population.

Interesting indeed. I hadn't seen the new Web page. A lot of work to just halt, servicing was fully booked months in advance. Apologies if I was wrong.

Stewart Rodden is easily the most experienced team in Scotland and familiar with Maserati as well. You'll pay for it though! Fantastic racing team too with amazing history.

Not come across this garage before. Anybody used them for servicing Maserati? What about price vs PK?

Price means nothing in the scheme of getting things done right things David. I handed over 8k in two visits last year., done just over 1k miles in total.......and she is now in the garage not able to start or move till I get more cash to get her somewhere else who can fix whatever was either not done or poorly done.....as you can tell, just a little bitter up here.

The thing with Maserati is that most of the cost is in the parts so there is less attraction to garages in working on them as they get a small share of the bill. Obviously they can apply some margin to the parts but punters are savvy these days and can check parts costs easily online.

There is another option for us northern chaps, besides the main dealers.

http://davidphillipsautos.co.uk/about-us/

They've been around for years and are very familiar with the older cars as well. Also more convenient than PK for many.

Dave suffered from some poor health over the last few years and customers were scratching around to get repairs done. unlike Phil, Dave, Brian Miller and John Buchan (ok John is the oldest and just wanted to retire so isn't really in the ill health bracket ), they all served their time at Glenvarigill so know most older high end marques, but seem to suffer with ill health. Is it an age thing? Or a profession thing? There is a few 4200's at Dave Phillips and I'm sure he's back to full strength now, but his customer base is going to increase if Phil declines new customers and Dave's branched out into sales now too. SPAutobahn look after quite a few Maserati's now, but again, Stuart Patterson is in a smaller workshop and can't do more than he's already doing and again, sales are taking up more and more of his time ( he might be taking my 911 Turbo on sale or return ).

Is Brian Miller still on the go?
He was a top guy. Met him when he moved from Glen Henderson (I think) to head up the service team in the then new Porsche franchise in Perth. He moved to Kenny Dunn for a while but then set up his own place close to Kenny Dunn. Haven't heard his name in a number of years.

As an aside we now have a Porsche OPC in Perth again after many years without. Shame that they have binned the nice engines in the affordable coupes and convertibles though.

Aye, still has the garage on Lanark Road, couple hundred yards from Slatetford train station. All of them are Nie guys I could listen to stories for hours from them. Dave Phillips was doing Kenny Dunn’s inspections and repairs for him, but Dave has set up his own showroom now, so not sure if it’s competition?

Of course, George Morrison in Glasgow does a few Maseratis too. Outrun?:beated:

This is the message on PK Supercars FB page posted just last week. Seems that servicing is going to be pretty limited.

"Due to a great opportunity to semi retire (well try to!), we are changing PK Supercars to primarily Supercar Sales and Discrete Storage in a new East Lothian location from the end of May.
Now we have new larger Storage and Supercar Sales Units and a small workshop.
We will still be offering servicing and repair to our Maserati long term customers after the Summer at a reduced pace - one car at a time.
PK Supercars will only do Collection and Delivery service locally or meet and greet in and around Edinburgh (Train Stations/Park & Ride). We offer to pick up from your house/work within a 20 mile radius too.
There is no access to our discrete storage and workshop so booking in advance is essential.
All numbers and e-mail will be the same.
Thanks
Phil and Kirsty Kyle"
