The following has been posted on David's website by his partner and his son so let's hope that there's some positive news soon:

10th September 2014 - PLEASE READ


Unfortunately David was involved in a serious road traffic accident on 9th September. He is currently in intensive care at Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry and is not contactable for the foreseeable future.

We apologise if you have a pending transaction with David. We hope you understand that we are focusing our efforts on being with him at this difficult time.

We will update his website with more information at a later date.

I was talking to my body man today, he is based in the same location a David and does some of his cars. He works with David and his brother and described the extent of his injuries, he really will need a lot of recovery and I think it may be some time before he is truly on the mend.

Sounds horrific. I notice on the link I posted above it describes the injuries as being very severe especially when the head trauma is involved. It also seems that the particular road is an accident hotspot.

I read through that report trying very hard not to stereotype those involved...distracted mother with young daughter; three teenage boys messing about in a car. Feel like I'm writing for a tabloid.

Yep same here, that's years of reading the Daily Mail! Long since switched to online media!

I googled the street/road name and there are umpteen reports of serious accidents.

From what I understand in this case those stereotypes probably don't apply.
