Facelift cars are pretty rare and do look the best ... Bet they didn't sell many ....

Ghosty, it'd cost Adam more to insure than it would to buy it! There's a Maserati Main Dealer at Graypaul Brum. They should do a PPI for £200 ish.

that is a cheap maserati, it has the right colour combo the right year and the right miles........at 11k?? must be something wrong with that.....

Hi Sean,

I just bought my first maser last week. I was also debating the same questions 3200 vs 4200.
From what I gathered the 4200 would be the more sensible choice, as it should be more reliable and refined than a 3200.
However in the end I choose the 3200, mainly because of the rear lights and turbo's.

I cant tell you much about running costs as I have just bought it, however it looks like i do need to make some repairs to it already!!
Its worth getting it inspected first so you know what needs doing to it.
Also if you can do some work yourself then I think it won’t be too expensive. I plan to do as much as possible myself.

Good luck with the hunt.

Doesn't matter now, it was sold this morning :( spoke to the chap there and he said there wasn't anything wrong with it, just looks like it's not really the sort of thing they market so it was priced to sell. I left my details in case the deal falls through.

Ghosty, if you want a 3200 then, and I know it's been said before, you could do a lot worse than go and see Spikes. Sounds like all its 'foibles' have been sorted. Just a thought.

Don't think he'll take my 147 GTA in part exchange though :(

If it comes back on the market I might just have to make a quick trip to Worcester. :)

How're you liking your GTV?

Its better than I remember Sean, but then this one has the Q2 and completely transforms the car .... Not missing the M5 either which I thought I would ....It's weird but it reminds me of the 3200 when you get in....Same sort of driving position I suppose and an avent on every journey ....Just looks so good. Prettiest car for the money on the market I think.

Yeah, I have Q2 in mine, it certainly does aid traction at the front, one of my mates has had a string of GTVs and Spiders from a 70s Guilia 2000, to a couple of twinny's P1 and 2 and a Spider in that odd pealescent Victoria Blue, all nice cars.
