Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone had experience with retrofitting parking sensors. Dicky grace mentioned that it would cosy £~200, not sure if that was parts only or the whole lot. A Google search for "Maserati parking sensors" throws up some very expensive parts.

Parisien had mentioned Conaero might know more, I'll send him a PM. I think i remember reading/being told that BMW sensors might work.

Thanks guys
R

I fitted electromagnetic sensors to my 2002 3200GTA while i had the bumpers off recently to get some body work done. they are foil antenna that stick on the inside surface of the bumper and so don't show on the outside at all. I am not sure it would be possible to fit them without removing the bumpers. I think they work well and am quite impressed and they were not expensive. i was keen not to spoil the looks of the car.

I'vve got those on my current car and the key when installing is to ensure that the film cannot get wet (easier said than done for me, despite it being in the bumper). When it gets wet it does not work.

But i agree, it is a much nicer looking solution. That said, I think i'll go with the regular parking sensors

I had a quote from my local motor electrical engineers yesterday for rear sensors, audio only £225 +vat. I was temped to go with the visual display but didn't want to change the dashboard layout with a stick on extra.
