Dare I say Halford Professional?

Had my socket sets for decades and been epic. Broke the mid socket ratchet and took it in and they still do it and replaced it FOC under their lifetime warranty. I think its all Draper Expert underneath.

No complaints here...and remember, buy cheap, buy twice!

I agree. I have had my halfords pro set for 25 to 30 years now. I have on a few occasions broken the 17 and 19 mm sockets and halfords replace on the spot without any quibble. I bought mine when they had one of the regular sales on round xmas at 40% off as well.

The ratchets are showing their age now but if they fail then i am sure halfords will swap them out as per their warranty.

Only thing that is broken and remains broken is the tabs to keep the case closed so i use a nylon ratchet strap to keep it closed in transit.

Yes tabs, you obvs have same one as my old one.

Also, you can take your ratchets in and say they jump under strain and they will replace FOC

You can also buy the gears in Halfords, about a tenner for all three sizes if you prefer to go that route. They will then be like new in their action again

It would appear Halfords have stopped doing the replacement gears, here’s to the throw away society

Nothing wrong with Halfords tools and even I have a few of theirs with no complaints.
Purely from a professional view point using hand tools daily for over 40 years Snap On spanners ratchets and sockets are definitely the best wouldn't like to put a figure on how many hours mine have done in that time around the world.
A good dealer is a must and in the past I used to get a visit weekly.
Sadly not everything is not made in the USA anymore like many things now coming from China and they are not as good.
Thankfully I don't need to buy anymore and they are all paid for.
