Not a good start the complaint form online does not work, keeps saying this field is required, even though I had filled in the field! Luckily i managed to find an email address to send my complaint to....

Nick,
There are a few companies that use that complaint procedure and leave you dangling and not able to complete the complaint, really annoying. Email can sometimes work, but I bet you will have to wait for a response??
Cheers

Had been with the RAC for 8 years and called them out for the first time with what appeared to be a blown head gasket on the bike. Told them what it appeared to be and that I was on a bike. 2 hours later they turned up with a van and he said "it looks like your head gasket, we'll need a flatbed"! I waited another 2 hours for the flatbed. I told them they took the ****, they texted me to say sorry!!! I'm with the AA now but I don't think it'll make any odds.

I think some of the people in the control centres are not always the best and just mess up on the information they pass on.

Had a cr-appy experience with the RAC when my Maser ran over that breeze block a few months ago. I was left freezing on the side of the road for about 2 hours and, despite having what I thought was a very comprehensive membership, it cost me nearly 300 quid to have the car delivered all of 10 miles to Autofficina.

I shan't be renewing.

Funnily enough I got a call yesterday from a manager who listened to the recorded calls and found they were at fault, they didn't get the address right first time so that is why the guy never found my Mrs. They said the not being able to get through was because of very high volumes of calls due to the weather or some such guff. I suggested they increase the numbers if they can't handle the loads but anyhow they were not admitting liability on that front.

So the offer, should I decide to accept it, was 3 months free cover....

My wife wasn't impressed, neither was I.

Too many of us just let things drop, taking them to task will teach them a lesson and they would run in fear of press coverage on their failings.
