Quattroporte Vs Listed For Sale

Everything is worth as much as a buyer is willing to pay.

My view is that the MC20, once produced and ideally positively reviewed, will cause the older models to increase in value due to demand and perceived value for money.

Not sure Chris as it’s more than just a halo model to push prices up I think. Maserati still has an reputation for unreliability and expensive cars to run with the masses….Perception is very hard to change even if it isn’t true.

This is the 3rd one in this ball park, it started with the one at Hairpin which Harry Metcalf reviewed - that went is a blink of an eye at above £40k, then the one at Dick Lovett which again was on a early £40’s and now this one - I am sure @dickygrace will put me right but the Sports GT S facelift models seem to be recovering some lost ground.

Hairpin listed at £40k, same car at DL, £47950.

I have sold a few circa 35-40k miles at £33-35k in the last 12 months

Sold one last week at £39950 but it was one owner, mega spec, freshly serviced with all clear at HR Owen, and only 25k miles.

The Top Gear pieces with the GTS were great, Hammond described it as an annoying 2 year old and it gave Clarkson a crisis, I would have one just for that lol

Saw that this morning. Rear seat entertainment is rare. Isn’t the electric seat plastic coming away from the seat or does it just need pushing back in. Have to say that when I see Giallo adverts they may be great cars but the photos never seem to show the cars in the best light.
I think I've only ever seen one or two Sport GT S examples with the MC Pedals specified, and none at all with the rear entertainment option. Sunroof is great to have; I'm not aware of reports of seals etc. deteriorating but I guess that may be an issue for me that may well develop over time given she's not garaged... TPMS is handy when it's not playing silly buggers!

And I recall towards the end when they were chauffeuring the newly weds around, I recall May saying that it'd make his top 10 cars list :)

Who are auto100.uk? They always seem to have QP6s for sale on autotrader but noticed recently a 4.2 QP5 which theyre punting at a higher price than an an equivalent newer QP6. Are QP5s increasing in value over QP6s?

Got my QP from them. They are up Nottingham way. They normally aim for one owner low miles cars. Great unless something goes wrong.

Me too. They picked up my QP5 GTS from a Porsche dealer when the second owner traded it in. They were straight forward to deal with, but nothing like buying from someone who lives and breathes the marque like Dicky or Nareman. It was a risk, but with so few to choose from, it was worth it.

Needed crisps for the boys’ packed lunches next week and our local Aldi has none, so I had a good excuse to go for a blast to a garage in Cenarth, which always has a good selection. First drive since a mega service by Marios’ team and reminded me why I bought it in the first place.

Very keenly priced 2011 sport GTS at purveyor of fine maseratis Mr Grace.
‘Only’ £27950, a bit more miles than recent ones (still only 62k) but a lot less money.
The difference between 35k miles or so and 60k miles seems crazy wide to me, but hey-ho, what do I know!
Me thinks this one will go fast..

Just had a little look…My favourite colour in a GTS…Surely that will not hang around at 26k

Dare I say it, it seems slightly under-priced based on what else is out there/what's been sold in recent months... if it's the one I think I saw a few years back it's a lovely car, drove well and nice to see one that's used regularly and wearing it's miles well. At the time it was missing the 'GT S' lettering on the dash, which IIRC is only around £15-ish to replace if it's not been already.

Won't hang around for long!
