Anybody interested in buying my 20" wheels that are no longer required, all 4 are a bit damaged and could do with a refurb, Lepsons have quoted £400.00 + vat to re-finish them, make me an offer before they go on e-bay. Collection from Birmingham, ring me on 07973802242

Thats a pricey quote Andy.......would have hoped for an all in price for a set around the £70 mark each

That's what i thought, was going to shop around for a better price, but got offered some new neptunes at a good price so this made these surplus.

The guys that Autoshield use are very competitive.......do a nice job too - if it was a deal breaker in what you'd accept for them as a way of getting them moved....ie cost less to refurb than you've been quoted........not in the market myself Andy as a 4200 owner!!

Guys,

I bought these wheels in the end from Andy. Having them refurbished at the moment.

A few questions for those that might know or have done something similar:

Firstly about the sensors inside them. Does anyone know if the early QP5's fitted with the standard 18" wheels would also have the tyre pressure sensors inside them and hence the indicator/receiver in the dash?

I'm just wondering if it is absolutely necessary to fit the sensors back into the 20" wheels that I am about to fit on the car. Ideally, I want to avoid an indicator coming up on the dash but as for the functionality, I am happy to check the tyre pressures myself periodically!

And would the 20" wheels off a 2006 Sport GT be a straight fit on an earlier QP (2004)? i.e. no need for spacers and/or different wheel bolts I presume?

Finally, anyone have to hand the correct tyre sizes fitted to the 20" wheels on a QP Sport GT. I want to go for identical sizes.

Cheers, Dhanj

Dhanj,

Tpms was always an option. If your car has a Tpms reset button by the sunroof controls then it's fitted, if not, no problem. If you do have Tpms fitted, you have to have the sensors all round.
Secondly, they will fit, same bolts, no spacers. Finally tyres are 245/35/ZF20's front and rears are 295/30/ZR20's, do double check this though Dhanj. That's from memory and I'm not home at present so can't go and look at one of the QP's I have in.
