QPV air con compressor for repair or spares

A couple of years ago my air con compressor started tapping slightly. I was due to drive to the Med with the family so I ordered a replacement and had it fitted in a hurry

The old compressor produced ice cold air and worked fine apart from the slight tapping. Does anyone need one for spares or fancy having this one repaired?

No idea what to charge, but I will be giving the proceeds to the Norfolk Churches Trust.

Work to replace A/C compressor typically not DIY job at home. Also nany garages refuse to fit used parts so market for this might be quite small.

Would have bought it myself when mine was failing with horrible noises, but sourced a new pattern part for some hundreds of pounds (can't recall but 200-350). If you cannot find a home for it I might buy it from you to put on my shelf for a rainy day. Much better that someone in real need gets it though. Good luck.

When I needed a replacement compressor in a hurry they were all on an exchange basis, where I had to send them my old one for them to repair otherwise there is a premium applied to the buyer.

Maybe we can use this one as a ‘group’ unit to avoid the delays of having to take the car to a garage for them to remove the faulty one, send this to the compressor company, wait for the replacement unit to be sent out then wait for the New compressor to be fitted. Maybe 7-10 days off the road?
