QP VI depreciation

Had a browse on the internet last night, to see what's happening with prices of the new shape QP. At the top end, there's a high spec new GTS for £135k. But there's another similar car (GTS) that's a few months old, for an asking of £85k (after an original list price of £125k). So it looks as though the initial depreciation on a high-spec big Maser is around the traditional £1k per week mark for the first 6 months to a year.

On a more positive note, I see that Bowker have an as-new V6 diesel version with delivery mileage for an asking price of £65k. Can it really be £60k or so "less good" than the GTS variant?!

The diesel seems good value to me. Shame I just can't be doing with the relatively lifeless engine sound. However, I'm now thinking it can't be too long before a second-hand, high-spec (but base model) petrol version becomes very tempting as a waft-me-to-my-office machine.

The S lists at £80k and is reasonably well equipped. It's plenty fast enough too.

The premium for the GTS (c£28k) is just silly.
