Does anyone have any info on the following car or any recommendations on buying a QP?

http://users.autoexposure.co.uk/veh...oexposure.co.uk/AETA23175/AETV49205094_1a.jpg

I know that black leather is not the most desirable but with the white stitching it looks OK.

How come there is no wood, looks like gray plastic trim so possibly the base trim?

Enzo is your QP man , what he doesn't know is hidden on the back of a postage stamp somewhere , he'll be along shortly, whatever the car , whatever the deal do get an independant inspection , these cars are virtually bullet proof and very reliable but one or two items cost an arm and two legs , so an independant inspection for a couple of £100 can save you 10 times as much so choose wisely and use the inspection as a haggling tool

Currently living just outside Saffron Walden in Essex but have another place up in Yorkshire so will be looking over a wide area for the car and servicing.

Roberto of Grimaldi engineering Halstead Essex is your man , top bloke never a more reliable trustworthy indie and good prices too , worth maybe getting him to do your inspection for you , by all means tell him i referred you , you will get a good deal , and a bonus is that Eurospares is 50 yds away from him , you'll be getting to know them aswell , also Enzo lives not too far from you , just possibly you could meet and see how a good one looks and feels , especially seeing as his has a full Larini system on it, it barks like a fezza when racked through the gears , just brill

Hi Patrik , the clutch printout is just one of things gained, but should be taken with a pinch of salt and used as a guide only , best to note if its on the original clutch or when the last clutch was fitted and how many miles has it done since , more impportantly , suspension joints and wheels bearings should be checked , not common or regular faults , but a tad pricey when it comes to replacing (worth noting if any play )original/factory geo setup tends to wear tyres on the inside edge so again worth noting its hard to check with out lifting the car up in the air

MF2015 I've just put my QP on Autotrader and am looking for less than the Woodside car. My car has a better spec and is the only UK car in this colour. Car has just come back from Shiltech today after annual service and I got them to carry out a full buyers check while it was there which shows no problems or issues. It's had all the brakes done and new clutches and bearing fitted just over 2,000 miles ago. Tyres have done about 6k. The car is in North Yorkshire. Give me a call if you are interested.

Arfa

Saw your car yesterday at Shiltech.

It's a beauty - love that colour.

Anyone interested in a QP should take a look.

Hi MR2015 and a big welcome.......The Woodside car has been for sale for some time so there could be a deal to be done...Get it inspected see and if its a good un.....Looks OK to me black with black leatehr is fine to me as long as it has a different colour stitching and that one does........No all QP's have wood as it was an option....There were lots of different trim levels available....

Thanks Andy, I'll give DL a ring and see if they can help.

Is there any year or model that is worth more consideration?

Have put 25k aside for one but colour and miles are high on my list.

QP's are pretty reliable to be honest so go for condition and history first...You will read that some early cars had electrical issues but to be honest I've not heard of any horry stories from owners....Our very own Enzo has an early QP and has not had major problems with her...........

25k will get you a good QP and there are lots about.......For me the GT is the one to have and you can just about get one for 25k...If you want the later Auto which some prefer then they are closer to 30k..but for me the Duo select is the one I would go for.....

A few that have caught my eye over the last month or so

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...page/2/radius/1501/postcode/np165ly?logcode=p

I know I said an auto was closer to 30k but on the face of it this seems good value even with 70k on the clock...Has rear seat entertainment pack that was a 5k option...

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...h/true/radius/1501/postcode/np165ly?logcode=p

Not much info on this one but lowish miles, black which you like and a GT......This one has not been for sale foe long..

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...page/2/radius/1501/quicksearch/true?logcode=p

Bit over your budget but been for sale a little while and low miles...

Another black GT....but higher miles

This basically stayed the same until the full Auto came along ...Think it was 2007 or was it 2008....Away to begin with you had the same 3 three models for auto and duo select....Then in 2008 the GT S joined the range......

Andy, that fills in a lot of gaps I have had trying to sort out between cars and models. Looks like the GT is the one to go for. Is there much difference between the Duo and the Auto in real world terms?

I can see the budget getting nudged as I write this but it's going to be a long term hold car so if I'm on the edge of a price bracket I'll push up a little.
