Hello Maserati people,

I'm sure this information must somewhere on the forum but I was unable to find it with my search criteria. I believe if you don't do things in the right order, the car can be permanently scarred for life :)

Thanks in advance,

You don't think the information exists or you don't think the start up procedure is critical? I know you have to keep the ignition on for at least 15 seconds before starting and then not to touch the accelerator for 30 seconds once started to calibrate everything, but Scuderia mentioned something about setting the clock correctly or something 'bad' would happen...

After a battery change, I have generally switched on the ignition and left it for around a minute before starting.

It's worked for me, it allows the systems to reset before start up, but I haven't come across any issues with the clock reset. Maybe someone else will come along with some knowledge of this?

I don't think the start up process is critical. If you think of all the sets of circumstances where someone is not going to have access to a complex process?

The clock is a wierd one. After a reset/battery disconnect I have sometimes found the clock very troublesome to set to within 10 minutes of the correct time.

All done! Was a little scary when I couldn't set the time - the "Timebase" part was 'greyed out' too - but after driving for 10 minutes the Timebase was miraculously accessible and I was able to set the time. All seems fine now :)

Thanks again folks!

I read the manual and discovered that you can only set it to within 10 minutes if GPS is activated. I assume it will set itself eventually :)
