so is that case of if the battery goes flat make sure you have all the time and dates reset properly before you extinguish a service light and all will be ok or is it more complex than that?
I think its pretty much that simple. Make sure time and date are correct before resetting a service light.

with regards to suspension is there an easy way to tell if a car has Skyhook or passive without looking at the shocks?

Well in person, there's not much easier than looking in the wheel arch at the colour of the spring. Other than that, the wires on the top of the suspension turret or the suspension warning light on the dash when ignition is on (Fixed units don't have that dash light)

If you mean in pictures on the internet? Hmm, I don't think so, unless the there's a dash pic with the ignition lights on. But might be wrong.

That looks a lot of car for the money
Indeed. If I were looking for a GT at around that price, I’d ignore the 4.2 versions and go straight for this car. It’s got all the good bits (the right engine, exhaust, body kit, service history, etc), in a good colour, and at a great price. Why look any further?

That said, the Bianco Fuji GT advertised here yesterday also looks fabulous. Slightly older, but lower mileage. Though personally, I’d want to try to negotiate on that asking price given it’s a 2010 car. Very lovely though.

Good to see you doing your homework. It is the right thing to do! I bought the yellow GT you see in my profile pictures I'm very happy with it, in fact I love it, I don't plan to ever sell it - give it to my kids one day when Im too old to drive. Came from Richard Grace in the posts above, a real pleasure doing business with! I also asked alot of questions and took my time buying (around 4 - 5 months), No harm in that. Really is a great car, sure its a GT, but I can get the kidz in the back and out for the evening and that to me is better than any 2 seater. If you want some fun, full throttle shifts are where it is at.

Its a 2011 MC Shift F1 GTS (4.7), sure the clutch change will be annoying or indeed any of the eventual F1 work, but i'm told clutches can last 40k miles so that will be fine at my current rate of 2-3k miles per year. Brake discs are expensive, but it also looks like they also have a long life. As far as I can see my brake discs are just under 30k miles old (13 years) and not much more than 25% of total wear (75% wear left).

As I said when you bought it, it’s one of the very best MC Shifts in the U.K. My detailer Paul said it was the cleanest original example he’d ever seen and he’s had about 300 of them through his business.

Then there’s the fact it’s such a standout colour and spec, so chuffed you’re happy with it Luke :)

just to round off this thread.

Whilst doing some research it came up that Autofficina had just the spec I was after coming in. So I popped down for a looksee and couldn't help myself.

q picking this up a few days ago 2011, 4.7 Oceanic Blue over Crema interior with FSH and engine number high enough to avoid the variator issues.

I'll start a proper thread later, but for now thanks for the helps chaps!
