GranCabrio S (automatica w/ black oval tips) makes the most amazing sounds, but even with my foot buried into the carpet...it does not pull anywhere close to my Gransport. I never felt "scared"...I suppose it is the extra weight plus the auto box's smooth shifting that makes it all feel compliant and in control, while my de-catted, FD DBW'd + ECM'd GS feels and sounds like an angry animal that wants to rip your head off?
