Mine went wrong last year. I suspected a faulty hub sensor but it was the ABS pump. A specialist repair company had 2 attempts to fix it, but it ended up even worse and flattened the car battery in less than 2 days!

Be careful there are several versions of this, some with MSP, others without and they changed again for 2004 models. I spent a long time trying to find a replacement because this particular unit is obsolete. David Askew didn't have one but I eventually found one at a breaker in Germany. You might be lucky with the forum sponsors as they may have had a couple of breakers in since last year.

I still have the faulty one but it needs to be repaired. I'm an electronics engineer and am going to have a look at repairing it myself if the circuitry is damaged but I would be out of my depth with the pump bits.

If you don't have any luck sourcing a replacement, there are specialist repair companies who can do it. I'm not sure who attempted the repair on mine as it was subcontracted by the garage, but I've used Autotronics in Leicester for repairs of another module from my Citroën and they did a good job.

It's a real pain as some of the parts which are obsolete could effectively write off these cars if a suitable solution is not readily available.

Thanks for that , I am waiting a response from David A. My car is the 2003. The garage did send off to be repaired but unable to.
