Yup.....as things seem static at the moment...ie GTs not falling much.....the gap between them and the 4200s/GSs is getting wider....people can't afford to bridge the gap, so are paying more for good egs, or so I am told!

Its a funny one, Dicky's car. It looks like its been well looked after, clearly enthusiast owned, but just not selling. Some may say its the silver, but IMO it looks great and the wheels set it off a treat.

IMO, if the car needs to be sold, it comes down to the price a lot of the time. I sold my last car a couple of months back, looked at the trader/PH etc to gauge prices, and priced it at what I thought was fair. It was in superb condition, was a very rare spec, FULL dealer history yadda yadda yadda....but ultimately, I wanted a private sale as had been given comdeic offers as a PX. I wanted it to go to an enthusiast as somewhere between trade in and retail....it was closer to trade-in in realisty, but it sold and it found a good home. If it had been any lower, I would genuinely have kept the car and thats a great fall back position to be in. Thats my sellers point of view.

From a buyers perspective, as someone currently in the market, if I see a car for sale privately, personally, I'd want it to be cheaper than a dearler by, say £2-3k. No warranty, no prep, etc etc. So, my totally irrelevant point is that that car is probably worth £25k if there's not pressure, but compared to similar cars at dealers, it needs to be £22-23k t shift.

Actually, having said that, there's a Nero car with 67k for sale for around the same money....and my observations are these are very influneced by milage!

Random brain dump over :)

You have a point there....Also think that with tech cloth they need to be cheap for someone to bite and also silver is a bit unloved as well...Me I think it looks great on those alloys as well.

The tech cloth comes in for a lot of hammer, and it seems to really ruin resale potential.......

Its a odd one as some of it in the right colour doesn't look bad but I suppose people expect a Maserati to be filled with leather and suede..not cloth.

Adam, if you like your showrooms, you could do worse that walking down Park Lane. I walked past Stratstone Park Lane this evening who had some lovely tackle in the window - some rare 911, a GranCab and a Merc ML from Brabus (I think)...then I walked past Bob Forstner.....you would be well impressed, I'm sure. Yellow LP640 Spyder, a couple of other bits, an Enzo.....and, for me possibly the most incredible car ever made....a pearl white Zonda. Its like a sweet shop!

I know i think it is a bit too serious doesn't have much lunacy about it, also Stratstone are having a new Ferrari and Maserati showroom built which is about 30 mins from my house, showroom will hold about 25 cars apparently, the current showroom holds about 8. I will be spending a few saturday afternoon's in there, I want to do to D1ck Lovett the most, but it is 2 hrs 3 mins from me.
