Onorio Campana, one of the pillars of modenese historical motoring, passed away on the 28th May, at the age of 86. He devoted his life to the service of the "world of engines", and was the founder of Carrozzeria Campana, one of the oldest companies in Modena: the workshop that carried his name has been active since as long ago as 1947, and over the years had become a genuine and proper point of reference for the majority of Italian marques, Maserati in particular.

Not by chance, Onorio Campana had remained one of the few representatives of what became known throughout the world as the "Modenese school".

Sad loss Matt im sure , a name that is synominous with Maserati , in recent years replaced by computer programmers/operators , not quite the same appeal for all that past heritage , times they are a changing mate , nostalgia giving way to the modern way , just pleased im at a time in life where i can appreciate both the old and the new

regards loz

Agreed Loz, but lets not forget, he was the pioneer of his day.

A long and fulfilling career, I am sure you will all agree.
