all black is too dull unless the piping is in a different colour such as yellow or red. Black and Blue is a nice combo.

Depends - a PPI will tell you how worn it is. It could still be on the original, but it could feasibly be on its 2nd 3rd or even 4th clutch. History will tell you when/if it has been replaced.

Loz off here had a very worn reading on his but he carried on driving for quite a few 1000 miles before he got his replaced.
