I know lots of main dealers have priced matched on servicing.....similar at times with parts....or just had to ask?

I wonder if they'll bring down their hourly rate next? They charged me around 150GBP/hour for service-related work when I went there a couple of years ago. This rate was even used for replacing the wipers...

DL Cardiff are much cheaper - I don't see why. Perhaps it's because Swindon is closer to London?

Good point, lots of other marques have an older/out or production car rate......something to be brought up Conaero/Enz....or senior members who are closer to the main dealer networks?

whatever their pricing I must say I would rather have an inde service my car as a know he cares about his customers, every time I have spoken to a franchise dealer they talk to me as if I am an inconvenience. They also use younger technicians rather than the more experienced ones who have set up on there own.

Interesting what you say about Franchise, and sad to hear how you have been dealt with, as you now know I work with both and your feedback is all good (and anon) I will get back to Parisiens' request later, if you haven't already registered (forgive me I know not your surname to recognise you if you are a valued member) We get the heads up on discounts, open workshops, events from both and there is lots more development (that i am meant to be writing...) to help you in finding the right service provider, insurer, classifieds, accessories.... I'll explain more a little later, or else work won't get done..

Edward Lovett is a go getter...Met him a few times when buying cars and he is truely driven....I like **** Lovett.....Wouldn't like to work for him though as he seemed a hard task master.

...you'd learn more there in a year AndyK...than you might in ten at another franchise.....if low staff turn over and successful...a good combo!
