Follow your heart and buy the best car for your money!
I have just come out of a Gen 2 911 C4S Targa and tomorrow take delivery of a quattroporte GTS. Whilst I have no doubt the 911 is the better car it simply had no soul!
Tomorrow is going to be an epic day......
Ooh...O/T a bit but tomorrow has arrived. Any pics? :)

I'm not completely sure its a Stradale - I'm no expert yet... Its a metallic grey one sometimes parked just of Northview in Westbury Park. Its a great looking car.

Re: contacting Richard - my plan is to at least see and drive a 4200 before confirming thats exactly what I want and then I may give Richard a bell after that.

Re: Getting a PPI done, I guess the process is I find a car that I think I like for the money, then call another Maserati garage nearby and pay them to go over and inspect it and give me a report? How far do they normally travel?

Petbri, welcome to the fold, as I've said on here previously, I believe a Facelift 4200 to be the best value Maserati you can buy at present, great bang for your buck. Thanks to the gents who've recommended my services. PPI, that's exactly how it works, they'll travel as far as you need them to but will charge for the privilege. I'm always on the lookout for late 4200's but they're hard to come by and always sell quickly, I'm on the case of 2 at present but not quite there yet.

Hi Dicky

Between 2004 and 2007 (the last year for 4200's I think) do you happen to know what the changes were?

Many thanks

Thanks Richard. Are they all 'Facelift' after a certain date or is that a specific model of 4200 ie are there Facelifts and non facelifts around after say 2004?

What do you guys think of the three here? http://www.nuvolalondon.com/for-sale.php
Two are out of my price range (although tempted to stretch...) and one's a manual - I've kinda set my heart on a CC though as to me it add an extra 'specialness' of going from a regular car to a Maserati.

Hi petbri,

Kev here, I did allot of miles recently looking for the same as you, I ended up with an early car with 27k on the clock. I wasn't keen on the older model, but was won over by the colour combination and condition.

Anyway I am not far from you, I'm near Yeovil, if you want to have a look at an older one over a cuppa let me know.

Cheers kev.

Thanks for the offer Kev. A blast down the A37 sounds like a good trip to do sometime one way or another.
I am planning a trip East on Friday afternoon to get the ball rolling and check out a couple. I've never knowingly seen one in the flesh yet!

Autumn 2004, 54 plates (not all) are facelift cars, cosmetic changes are different bumper with bigger grille, usually slatted, and a cup holder on the transmission tunnel. Changes underneath to gearbox hardware & software. Also generally regarded to be the last of the model so quality improved all round too.

Nuvola sell good cars, Nareman is a great guy to deal with. Cambiocorsa is the most popular, I much prefer it too.

Hi Petbri,
If you take Kev up on the offer, feel free to PM me and you can take a spin in my 2007 facelift, which I acquired off Richard Grace last year....I'm only a couple of miles from Kev.
