Was it a repeat of the original one about a year ago...or have they been at it again?

Verdi were a well respected Maserati/Ferrari specialist but then they got themselves in a spot of bother as I understand it and maybe were not a squeeky clean as they should have been.

I met him at a show and came across as a good knowledgable person....
When a business is in trouble it can make owners do all sorts of silly things but you should never con a customer.....

Didn't watch it last night, but if a repeat they sold a customers car on commission then did not give the customer the money.
Obviously they must have been in financial difficulties but to use a customer in such a way is below the belt!
After watching the episodes on YouTube I don't think I would ever sell a car on commission!

It started with one complaint from one customer, but what makes it worse is that it soon became evident there were many more cases...
there are lots of people owed many thousands of pounds.
When this was happening, lets say a couple of years ago, the only Ferrari forum (to my knowledge) that allowed posts on this subject,
in order to warn others of potential issues, was ferrarichat, others were deleting posts.

Oh dear.

I think selling on commission *can* work v well: I bought my low-slung, sporty coupe that way, and was v happy to do so: with the (relative) peace of mind of buying from a commercial enterprise that appeared to know its stuff, had serviced the car for the last few years, and provided a warranty that wasn't utterly meaningless, as against the ability to relay longer term questions up the line to the original (before me, anyway :D) owner.

But it all works on trust and confidence. Puncture that bubble and I suspect, as a commercial enterprise, you're carrion.

Pulling stunts like that if your a solicitor gets you struck off, a prison sentence and your life ruined, maybe the law is different for car dealers .... He'll be feeling the heat sooner or later!

Doesn't make good viewing at all.....any guy who fails to answer to his own name when asked is not a good sign on many levels. Do Verdi still trade, is Mr Verdi ( as he called himself the landlord) in any other business? Did the poor guy who lost nearly all his money get any more redress, what happened the car that was sold?
