Oil filters

Just noticed on the Eurospares parts drawings that the 4.2 engine has a further 3 filters on the oil scavenge pump (parts 5 and 6) does anybody know if these need to be changed on a regular basis or are they easily cleaned out once removed.

Look's like this may have stumped everybody on the forum, so did a bit of asking around a few people i know who build race engines and Maserati specialists, and they have all said the same thing as follows.

If the engine has had regular oil changes using the correct grade and type of oil then these filters will not need to be touched, if at anytime the engine is removed for any remedial work then this is the time to remove the pump and access the filters on the underside of the pump, they can not be changed with the engine in situ.

Well that's my mind at rest and i can return my credit card to my pocket.....result.
