Yes, Yes, Yes....Drive both together and you will understand...The standard car feels heavy and blotted compared to the CSL..Plus the noise is worth 25k along........
Can I just say that the E30 M3 is the greatest M car for me but........it you drive an M3 CSL and then an E30 M3 you WILL want the CSL....
The E30 is stunning but by todays standards under powered and in this age of neck jarring speed it's hard to not be taken in by the CSL....The E30 is a car that change the rules for small performance saloons and handles like it's on rails and the steering feel is amazing....The E30 is a classic that you would want to remind you of how good the past was and take out for a blast at the weekend.....The CSL is your everyday choice, maybe not as special as teh E30 but if would blow it into the the weeds on the track.....Still want an E30 soooo bad in my garage again thought.
