A guy at work had a petrol ford fiesta , came in to work and it was dripping oil so he got the maintenance guy to have a look

The oil filter had rusted through

When did you last have it serviced

It'd never been serviced in the 8 years he'd had it , just mot and fix the fail

Fitted a new filter , topped up the oil , had it another 3 years until the clutch went and he limped it to a dealer to px it

11 years on the same oil and it never broke down once ( this is not a recommendation) ;)

So if I read this right it is 6 months and 4k over. Hardly worth worrying about but a good negotiating tool based on resale value and ease of sale. If it was 3 years and 14k I would think twice unless it as a good price. Even then it is unlikely to blow up in your face.

its 8k over. AM say 10k or a year which is standard fair

I suppose it is petrol though and burns much cleaner. Im used to marine diesels as big as the car that burn HFO... if you didnt keep your oil decent in them you soon found out.
