I fail to understand why anyone would order a Ghibli S without paddles.
Can you retrofit?
You can only retrofit them if the car has full electric memory seats (not standard) and the dealer fit price is £1500
I have paddles. They were no.1 on my must-have list. Great fun.
Should be standard on the S given the extra wedge that Maserati are charging for what's basically a different ECU map and a couple of options boxes.

My first Ghibli D didn't have a sunroof, and I'm not sure it had memory seats, but dealer retro-fitted the paddles for GBP1400
I disagree with th Sunroof requirement but apparently memory seats are a must or it can't be done.
Thanks both, interesting regarding the sunroof. I've researched this extensively (or so I thought) and reached the conclusion it can't be done on my car. Mine is loaded with options including the electric, heated memory seats but I don't have a sunroof. More investigation required for a definitive answer. One thing's for certain - £1,400 is too much. The parts are available from MDs in the US for a vast amount less than the UK. I can fit them myself, just need to hook the car up to a computer so it recognises the paddles IIRC - less than an hour's labour from a MD.
But you can't order them unfortunately and the part number for LHD is different than RHD anyway. The paddles come in for about £700, then you have the longer stalk and new column shroud. By the time you've added it up, it's not far from the dealer price.
Oh bollox. I'll just have to buy a new car at some point then. What a shame!
