Check the join date Andy ;) have wanted one for 10+ years but never been a financial situation for one. over the past few years though things have changed but it wasn't until you tempted me back with Llandow I put some seroius thought back into owning one. Then I got a call out of the blue the other day from my local Audi dealer who happened to come across this QP (long story about the Audi dealer but he supply's my Alfas lol and knows I love all things Italian.) just seems like everything is falling into place to finally get my hand feet and *** into a Maserati even if this one is a dog though I'll will continue to look with renewed vigur.

Well bugger me...You've been lurking........Would be great to have you in a Maserati...QP is a great car..

Great looking car. I think the dash is fine and I think if the steering wheel were swapped to a standard black one then the dash colour wouldn't even be a discussion point. Go for it, I love it.

So am I the only one that thinks the dash actually looks quite nice rofl.......
I've been called away with work so away for around 10-15 days when I get back though I'll get things rolling on that QP . I have a feeling she will be waiting for me. Ofc I'm going to go down and make sure she feels right before getting the PPI done is there anything I should keep an eye out for? Ofc any problems with the SH etc and I'll walk away but things I might miss if I don't look to carefully ? I can spot a ringer etc

Just been check prices of brakes etc and does 400-600 sound right for a set of front discs? And 150ish for pads? If so there about the same price I'm paying on my 159TI! Not what I was expecting tbh was thinking closer to a grand, tyres are cheaper than my Ti's and the service cost is about the same.......

Couple irregularites starting to appear on this motor....and I'm not sure about it so I'm going to pass send wait for something else.
For the benefit of anyone else who's interested I'll elaborate.

Hpi check is coming back with finance owed on the car but the garage are insisting there is no finance outstanding and have certification of this... but two checks show a finance company with a current interest in the car. Unknown amount outstanding.

FSH but over due on aux belts ?............

Just a couple things and I dare say the actual car is great but I have a gut feeling something dint right...

Trade sellers are responsible for any finance difficulties CT....if you bought it privately then you are responsible.....hope you get it sorted or drop it

Yeah sorting any outstanding finance isn't a problem. I'm just humming and arrring now as the garage are insisting none outstanding yet I've spoken to the company with the interest in the car and they have a current interest in it. If the garage can't be straight on that then......

I'm in the market for a QP give me a shout if you know of one or see one pref a mark3 and around 15K with cash waiting.

4200 is loads of fun....Well worth a look....If its got around 30/35k on the clock make sure the clutrch has been changed as if it hasn't it may need one soon and thats a £2000 job...

Thanks Andy
One think I have started to notice is, the masters and big Alfas are close in price for parts and servicing. E.g.
The tyres for my TI are about 300 a corner. Clutch is around 2k fitted, discs are around 400-500. Pads 150ish

Though if you but the much later models 2006 they should have the newer version of the clutch which I beleive is lasting a lot longer.......need to do a little bit of research on this

Yep, they are not far off the same....Servicing has come down alot as well...WHen I had my 3200 back in 2007 Maserati wanted £1600 for a medium service now you can half that at least and even lower with a specialist.....The one thing that will be more expensive than on your Alfa is parts if they need replacing.

Christ. just saw the price of tyres...Thats silly money for an Alfa......Just sold an GTV V6 and had two rears put on her and that cost less than one of yours...

There 19's and only on that Alfa one fezzes and one Martin DB9 iirc although I think price will drop soon... I think the new pug that stupid looking sports car type one now comes with them.

The clutch was changed on the facelifts so from 05+ the wheels were supposed to be changed to the 19's aswell as 10?more Italian stallions in the engine.. Iirc
