Hi guys thanks for the warm welcome you've given me :tomato3:
i was wondering if i could ask for a little advice on something?
ive always loved the Massers and always wanted one changed my mind as new ones came out etc,
but the last year or so ive really been considering one.
i want one to use as a weekend drive, the odd track day, but also needs to beable to carry my wife and kids if needs be so the likes of the GT etc are out of the question, leaving me with only one real option and happily its my current favorite the Quattroporte.
ive been having a nose around and think i may have found the car i like:

Its a 2005 05 Paddleshift Plump Red (whats the right name?) with Magnolia leather and red pipping.
its got a Full Service history but part is a franchise so only part is main dealer ( i dont have the name of the franchise atm.)
its a uk car with following spec ABS , Alarm, Alloys (unknown what size or if Maserti ones) auto lights and wipers (Yuke!) cd muilti changer, central locking (well Du!) climate control, electric sunroof and windows (should bloody well hope so!) Factory fitted phone, front/rear Parking assistance, full leather electric heated memory seats, metallic paint Privacy glass, statnav with tv.
One Key only. 9months MOT/Tax 49K miles and they are asking £15750.. Its company owned, in Dyfed wales.

Edit Its also given a 9 out of 10 for condition.

What do you think worth a look?

If it requires work when your inspection is done, then they won't be giving you any more off I wouldn't have thought if they've already dropped £2245 off. They're usually, although not always, cheap for a reason.

QPs don't use the 550 disc/pads combo Dicky? If not tyres are about £700.....brakes......all done nearly £1500....a service £5-600

Not sure about QP discs Frank I'm afraid. I leave it to the experts at Autoshield.

Who does inspections in the Swansea Valleys? I'm not aware of anyone. An AA/RAC inspection would be circa £400 IIRC and they wouldn't have Maserati diagnostic equipment I wouldn't have thought. Could be an awkward one. You'll have to pay someone to travel there or convince the vendor to take it to Swndon, unless Dick Lovett in Cardiff still have their diagnostic equipment as until recently they were a main dealership.

I dont know, who around here does them. but the physical inspection i can do myself no problems and im going to call in a favor from Avonmouth and grab their diagnostic equipment, if i cannot find someone local to do it for me.

Cobratwin....New if you came over we could tempt you.....Love the red and that does seem a good price...Interior dash colour is a required taste but that could be why the car is priced so....But as Dicky has said if you get and inspection and it's clear then its a bargain...Good luck mate and hope to see it at Llandow....I drove Blox's QP GT around Llandow last time and loved it..Felt alot smaller and handled like a dream.

Check the join date Andy ;) have wanted one for 10+ years but never been a financial situation for one. over the past few years though things have changed but it wasn't until you tempted me back with Llandow I put some seroius thought back into owning one. Then I got a call out of the blue the other day from my local Audi dealer who happened to come across this QP (long story about the Audi dealer but he supply's my Alfas lol and knows I love all things Italian.) just seems like everything is falling into place to finally get my hand feet and *** into a Maserati even if this one is a dog though I'll will continue to look with renewed vigur.

Do it (if the inspection is ok) and you won't be disappointed. Be great to have 2 Pontevechio Bordeaux masers on the Forum !
